Will Smith, Founder

​

I found my passion and career in wine while a student in Washington, D.C. Working my way through college I was hired by the city’s top catering company. I began my journey learning about wine and food at formal State Dinners that included U.S. Presidents and foreign leaders. I was eventually offered a management position at the legendary 1925 F Street Club in Washington D.C. It was there that I fell in love with wine. As the wine buyer for this prestigious City-Club I immersed myself in wine culture and eventually was offered a Sales position representing a world-class portfolio of Wine and Spirits calling on DC’s premier hotels, embassies and restaurants. My wine career accelerated from there, taking me to the Napa Valley to work for visionaries like Robert Mondavi Sr., and great companies like Diageo Chateau & Estates, who have for years, trusted me with leadership roles in Trade Marketing, Sales, and Education.  

 

This new chapter in my story is  Blue Sky Wine Group, a new Regional Wine & Spirits Broker company, we call "Concierge Representation" that brings a professional-level of Brand and Market Management to the local level.  I am grateful for the many years standing on the shoulders of giants of the wine industry who have been generous in teaching me the foundation of the wine business and the essence and beauty of wine. I look forward to sharing a glass of wine with you and the conviviality of our business.

We will be launching in Florida in October, followed by Texas, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, DC, Maryland, and Delaware.
